I did it!! I spent new years with you. And unbelievably, you made me forget about everything else and I could only focus on you. I helped you move into your new apartment, and it was the start of new beginnings. It made me happy to see your growth and that regardless of what comes next, I was going to be there to see you and support you through it all. The beauty of everything and looking back at all these pictures is seeing how you changed over time. I can see it in your eyes, how much you feel alive and connected to the world around you. It was a sweet night, and I just was so lucky to be with you. I just felt happy to be there for you, and I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my new years any other way that year.
