This was our very first date!! I was so excited, and I remember as I got ready I was singing so much and I could barely think straight. We were going to paint pottery together at mudpie, and I was like omg I literally cannot paint but I love watching her paint so it’s going to be perfect. You gave me such pretty pink roses when you came to pick me up. I was so excited when I first saw you this day. I just finally felt like we could be ourselves together for the first time without anything getting in the way. Just knowing that we could go on a date meant a lot. I never believed I’d get to experience this with you. We went to East End for a walk with Iris, got some Starbucks, then went to paint. We spent a couple of hours painting, and everything turned out so cute in the end!! I loved being able to watch you paint the heart shaped box- and later on for a different day you gave me a mini bouquet which I put inside the box that now stays on my windowsill with my most treasured gifts from you. Later that evening, we dressed up and went to the Mexican restaurant nearby and got mini margaritas and probably drank too much, but it was still fun. I know we were overwhelmed when we first got there. I had no idea it would be so loud. We did try to focus on each other though, and after that things got much better. You got tamales beans and rice, and I got beef fajita quesadillas. We definitely slurred our words a lot when ordering stuff, but it’s okay lol. I’m just glad we ended up relaxing more and having a good time. It was nice walking back to your apartment with you, and I stayed with you that night. Waking up next to you after our night out together was really sweet. It felt so different but nice to be able to look at you in your sleep after waking up and just think about all the reasons I adore you.
